About Us

Our Ethos:

OffDutyLDN designs vegan-friendly, sustainable accessories, made with premium materials. Our products are made to last, making them an investment piece. Our aim is to steer away from a life of fast fashion, ensuring our accessories don’t end up in landfill. 

Our Story:

OffDutyLDN was borne out of a passion for colour and a desire to offer stylish and affordable accessories to everyone.

We don’t make seasonal collections as we believe in bringing new ideas, colours and materials to you as soon as we have them for maximum enjoyment.

All of our products are Vegan-Friendly and PETA approved, something which is very important to us.

As we grow our brand, we will be working on gaining further accreditation, so watch this space.

Our Materials :

We are always sourcing new eco-materials to use in our collections.

We're moving towards all of our linings being made of 100% recycled polyester, made from recycled plastic bottles.  Our first collection launched without the recycled linings, however anything new or anything we make a repeat order of, will have Recycled Polyester lining in.  Please keep an eye out in the product descriptions where we detail if the product has RECYCLED POLYESTER LINING.

The materials we use are of a premium standard, allowing us to produce durable and strong products that have long life expectancies, avoiding landfill for as long as possible.

Our Ethics and Sustainability:

We love our planet and want to do our utmost to help protect the environment.

The lifespan and afterlife of our materials are all carefully considered during the sourcing process with durability at the forefront of our mind.

We are moving to have RECYLED POLYESTER LININGS made from recycled bottles throughout our entire collection.

We keep our order quantities tight so that we're never over buying.

We're working closely with The Vegan Society who conduct a strict audit on all materials and components used to ensure anything registered with them is free from Animal Parts.  

We are PeTA Vegan Approved and will work to ensure this is annually re-newed.

The majority of our packaging is made from recycled materials and is biodegradable.  The only items we're currently using that aren't biodegradable are the recycled brown paper stickers to close our tissue wrap and our address labels on our parcels, unfortunately the adhesive prevents these from biodegrading.

Our Compliments cards and Returns Info cards, that we put in our boxes are also made from recycled materials and are fully biodegradable as these have been printed with Vegetable Inks.  We carefully sourced these and are pleased to work on these with a fellow company that are also registered with The Vegan Society.

We encourage our customers to recycle our products and packaging by asking them to donate to charity shops, upcycle, or pass on to a friend.

Our People:

Our accessories are designed in London and manufactured in China.

We are proud of the long-term relationships we have with our factories who have become part of the OffDutyLDN family, and who are in line with our ethos and operational standards.

We work together to ensure we can produce new designs and stock fast while meeting our Vegan, Ethical and Sustainable values.

Being responsible for the here and now is important to us. We care about the environment, our factories and our amazing teams.

Transparency:

We are a transparent business, and want to share our great factories and wonderful overseas colleagues with our customers.

We are conscious of our workers’ rights, fair pay, good working conditions and sustainable livelihoods. In order to do this, our factories are members of SEDEX and conform to annual SMETA audits.  Our last SMETA audit was in November 2019.
